Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate,you will need to do the following:
- Provide day to day technical assistance to Operations,and Maintenance departments in troubleshooting & repairing process equipment and systems.
- Create engineering design packages for new installations and upgrades,which include job scopes,computations, and full technical specifications.
- Evaluate project ideas and full design packages for new facilities.
- Participate in the testing and commissioning of new facilities,as well as the turnaround and inspection process.
- Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.
- Analyse system performance to uncover energy saving strategies.
- Ensure that any upgrade is done in a quality,cost effective,and timely manner.
- Evaluate & trial innovative technologies.Ensure full HSE compliance.
- Report and analyse important performance indicators.
- Make recommendations for the technical and economic optimisation of current facilities.
- Lead feasibility and profitability assessments for new facilities. Contribute to the Business Unit Strategy.
- Analyse, evaluate, and understand projects, procedures, and financing for Saudi Aramco capital investment choices.
Minimum requirements.
As a successful candidate, you will have:
- A bachelor degree in chemical engineering from an approved university is required,with a master degree recommended.
- A minimum of 15 years of work experience is required,including 10 years in industrial operations facilities, with a premium for experience in shale gas facilities and modular skid mounted process units.
- You must be familiar with and have working knowledge of industry codes and standards such as API and ASME.
- Experience with: Creating/modifying PFDs and P&IDs, troubleshooting process equipment and system failures, conducting failure analysis and providing recommendations for failed process systems, using process simulation software like HYSIS, creating schematics and piping diagrams, specifying piping and equipment layout, dealing with corrosion-related issues.
- Capable of working with multidisciplinary engineers to finish projects and has demonstrated the ability to effectively communicate with management at all levels of the business.
- Capable of identifying and reconciling opposing viewpoints and interests inside the organization.
- Capable of working successfully with minimal supervision on generally unstructured activities, as well as being a hands-on person who will quickly command the professional respect of others with extensive practical experience working in or serving the sector.
- A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) licence or registration would be preferable but not required.
- You will have a solid understanding of plant operations, process technology, supply and product logistics, business and cost factors, and feedstock sensitivity. You will also have experience with process design review, construction, commissioning, and testing of new shale gas plants.
